Brampton and Beyond Community Trust Needs You!

 
A Development Trust is proposed for Brampton and its surrounding areas. After a public meeting, a Steering Group was set up to take the idea forward.

What is a Development Trust?
It is community based, owned and managed. It is set-up to produce economic, environmental and social benefits for the community/ by the community.

Economic Benefits
· Build local skills
· Provide training and advice
· Create jobs for local people
· Generate wealth for the community and keep it there.

Social Benefits
· A real community focal point
· Enable positive change for the benefit of all
· Self help for local people to tackle local problems

Environmental Benefits
· Preserve and enhance the local environment
· Environmentally sound solutions to local issues.

The community would use trading for community good and ownership of buildings and land to bring about long-term community benefits. The money made from trading would help community organisations to be independent and self-sufficient.

And it would help the community to help itself realise its ambitions for Brampton and the surrounding areas.
