Happy Hour Theatre presents "Men of the World" by John Godber. Preparing for a mystery trip to Scarborough, three coach drivers pass the time remembering more exciting trips from the past, such as the last one, down the Rhine Valley to Heidelberg. The three comprise Stick who hates his passengers, Larry who is a Mario Lanza fan and Frank theiir female counterpart ("don't ask... it'll only shock you!") These three played by Bob McLure, Rob Graham and Jenny Pike also play an assortment of passengers from dotty old complainers to retired miners seeking excitment!

A walk to look at the upland farm operation at the RSPB’s Geltsdale Nature Reserve, where careful grazing management has enhanced breeding habitat for birds such as lapwing, redshank and black grouse. We will take in hay meadows, rough pasture for cattle, breeding wader birds, with a closer look at upland sheep and lambing. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and strong footwear such as Wellingtons or boots. Dogs welcome on leads.

Would you like to know more about composting? Brampton Food Network is offering an introductory course to help people make great compost for their garden or allotment.

Compost is used to feed and condition the soil and make potting mixes. Did you know that around 40% of the average dustbin contents are suitable for home composting? Good compost is dark brown, crumbly and smells like a forest floor. This course will show you how to succeed in your composting.
